Benjamin „Benny“ Brochhagen is in fact two members of the Topeak Ergon Racing Team. As PR-manager of the team he is responsible to provide the perfect environment for his fellow team members, allowing them to be successful. As a rider, he is actually winning from his own work, when he is taking part in national and international marathon races. Bennys career in bike racing seems to be modelled after the biblical conversion of Saul to Paul.
During his teenage years, weighing a lumpy 15 kilograms more than now, he was not interested in sports whatsoever. But at last, in 1998, he drastically changed his point of view and turned unhealthy nutrition into sporting ambition. Today he is a full-blown mountainbiker, who - while not managing the public relations department at ERGON - is stirring up the german marathon bike scene.
